Cobbinshaw Angling Association Ltd - Applying for membership
Applications for membership can be made in one of two ways;
- a proposal and seconding from two existing Members using Form MAF1; or
- by direct application to the Secretary using Form MAF2.
Both Forms are attached below.
Membership and Annual Subscription Fees are as follows;
- Entrance Fee - a one of payment of £150 on entry
- An annual subscription payment of £336
On year of entry both an Entry Fee and Annual Subscription are payable, thereafter only the Annual Subscription is payable. However, the Entry Fee and first Annual Subscription can be paid by instalment over the first year.
The Annual Subscription Fees allows fishing 7 days a week throughout the year, although there are some restrictions over the winter.
In addition, a boat charge is payable for each outing as follows;
- Members: £13 for the first four hours then £1.50 per hour thereafter
- Guests: £23 for the first four hours then £1.50 per hour thereafter
The catch limit is currently 4 fish per outing, for both Members and Guests. There is no restriction on catch and release but barbless or de-barbed hooks are mandatory when fishing C&R. All catches must be accurately recorded in the Catch Returns Log maintained by the Keepers.
A Member's spouse, partner or close family member under 18 years of age can fish free provided they share the kill limit of the Member.
Pike fishing and bank fishing is also available for Members and Guests in certain circumstances.
All Fees and Charges are subject to annual review by the Membership at the AGM of the Company.
Acceptance of an offer of membership assumes agreement to becoming a Member of the Company and the related liability to pay a guarantee sum of up to £1 to meet the cost of any outstanding debts should the Company be wound up.
